Short CV

Pioneered the first electrical impedance tomography (EIT) image reconstruction algorithm method to obtain impedance changes inside the human head and went on to develop it for physiological responses in humans. He also developed EIT monitoring lung function for neonates delivering new tools that provide continuous monitoring of (preterm) infants and children with respiratory failure (CRADL, cradlproject) [1].
The above work led to the development of the GREIT [2] algorithm a ‘gold standard’ for comparison of EIT image reconstruction methods and adopted by a major manufacturer. The EIDORS software has also been adopted by Draeger and Swisstom in product development research.
