Luca Dede' has made pioneering advancements in computational modeling of the human heart, with particular emphasis on cardiac electromechanics, integrating electrophysiology, fluid dynamics, and mechanics to simulate the human heart's behavior under various physiological and pathological conditions. His work, exemplified in highly cited publications such as "A comprehensive and biophysically detailed computational model of the whole human heart electromechanics" (CMAME, 2023), has provided detailed insights into cardiac function, enabling better understanding and treatment of heart diseases. These models are used to simulate cardiac conditions, aiding in the development of personalized healthcare solutions and digital twin applications.
