Short CV

Eugenio Guglielmelli, born in 1965, has a degree in Electronic Engineering. Since 2004 he has taught at the Departmental Faculty of Engineering of the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma and since 2010 he has been a full professor of Industrial Bioengineering. Since 2021 he has been designated by the Ministry of University and Research (Mur) as the national representative of Italy in the Horizon Europe - Cluster Health program committee and since April 2022 a member of the Italian delegation of the G7 - Science working group. Since July 2021 he has been the scientific director of the Irccs Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi Onlus, an organization with which the University is increasingly consolidating strategic collaborations on topics of common interest.

His main research interests concern the theoretical and methodological aspects of bioengineering, robotics and intelligent machines, with particular reference to the field of mechatronic and robotic technologies for rehabilitation and assistance to the disabled and the elderly, neuro-robotics , bionics and biorobotics. He is the author of over 430 scientific publications that have appeared in journals, books and international conference proceedings on the topics of bioengineering and biomedical robotics.
