The second consultation meeting of the Discipulus project will take place on the 26th and 27th of November 2012 in Barcelona.
The Discipulus project is an undertaking established by the European Commission in October 2011 to set up a roadmap for the "digital patient". More information on the project can be found here: http://www.digital-patient.net
The open consultation meeting will call on worldwide experts within and outside the VPH community to identify and propose recommendations for the Roadmap for the Digital Patient. Any experts and representative organisations with a shared interest in the application of VPH technology to clinical medicine and the development of the Digital Patient is welcome to attend.
If fully realised as envisaged, the clinician will be able to generate a computational avatar of a patient and simulate both physiology and disease processes which will assist in deciding the best treatment as well as prognosis, to achieve personalised medicine.
Views will be invited to discuss the outcomes of the First Consultation Meeting (March 2012) and to propose specific actions to update the draft Roadmap.

The organizing committee will cover ONE night's accommodation for the night of the 26th November, at a hotel close to the meeting location as well as organized meals during the event (to be confirmed closer to the event). Registrations will be accepted (on a first-come, first-served basis) until reaching the maximum capacity of the rooms we’ve booked.
