WHY STUDY MASTERS AT BURCH MENTORSHIP The role of guidance is considered to be priority in all levels of architectural education at Burch. ‘One on one’ consultations are essential for architectural training, which enables each student to receive individual and undivided attention. In masters level mentoring relationship involves professors acting as close, trusted, and experienced colleagues whose role is to, encourage, support and motivate the young individuals, transforming the student into a colleague. POSSIBILITY OF SPECIALIZATION THROUGH MASTER’S THESIS Close mentorship system enables students to recognize their particular interests and talents within the field of architecture, which can be further investigated through master thesis research. The department has a diverse team specialized in various research fields, from theory of architectural design, architectural aesthetics, space identity, urban planning, anthropology of architecture, interior design, sustainable architecture, revitalization and conservation; as well as a great team of structural engineers, giving students the possibility to develop themselves in any aspect related to architectural design.
